About the role

Lead and manage project teams to deliver critical school infrastructure projects across NSW, ensuring project milestones are achieved and outcomes are delivered on time, within scope and to quality standards.

Working within the Department's School Infrastructure delivery function, you will partner with internal teams, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders to plan, coordinate and deliver a portfolio of complex capital works projects. You will manage risks, issues and escalations, maintain momentum and drive delivery against critical project commitments.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Lead the delivery of construction and major capital works projects
  • Manage safety, risks, issues and escalations in delivery
  • Chair meetings and lead conversations to keep delivery moving
  • Solve complex delivery problems with diverse stakeholders
  • Stay organised, agile and resilient in a constantly changing environment
  • Apply demonstrated construction environment experience to deliver outcomes

You have a proactive delivery mindset and a passion for education, with the drive to deliver tangible results for schools. You can pivot when priorities change and ensure work stays on track.

We welcome candidates with qualifications or relevant experience in Building, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or Planning.

Essential requirements of the role

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience.
  • Current general construction card (White card), or attainment of one within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education.
