What's the role?
You'll play a key role in shaping how Westpac manages risk in compliance with regulatory frameworks. As Prudential Governance and Compliance Lead, you'll guide how the bank meets prudential requirements, working closely with senior stakeholders to make sure expectations are clearly understood and consistently applied across the business.
You'll lead a small team, will own key policies underpinning the management of prudential risk, and will oversee key governance activities such as risk management declarations and prudential compliance assessments.
It's a hands-on role where you'll combine leadership, problem solving and influence to help deliver better outcomes.
This is a permanent, hybrid role based in Sydney or Melbourne.
What do I need?
You'll bring a mix of leadership, regulatory insight and practical problem-solving skills to help guide strong governance outcomes.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong understanding of APRA's prudential framework
- Strong risk management mindset with the ability to identify themes, trends and patterns and to understand the organisational and regulatory context
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
