CIMIC Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Corporate Accounting team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the integrity of the organisation's financial reporting processes, while delivering trusted insights to senior stakeholders across the business.

About the Role

We are recruiting for a Senior Accountant within the CPB Group Finance team: Corporate Accounting.

This role is responsible for assisting to ensure that the financial integrity of the company's financial reporting process is maintained and enhanced.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting monthly financial reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance across the Group.

  • Responsibility for preparation/review of financial reports for CPB group entities

  • Undertake analysis and provide commentary on key balance sheet and profit and loss accounts for inclusion in monthly Commentary submission to parent entity.

  • Assisting with ensuring compliance with the CPB Balance Sheet Control Framework, including review of monthly corporate balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with review of Business Unit reconciliations across the group.

  • Review of month end journals, including group consolidation journals.

  • Key point of contact for external auditors in year-end audit and half year review.

About You - Qualifications & Experience

To be successful, you will bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification with a degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in financial and/or management accounting

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting capability

  • Experience working in complex or large-scale corporate environments

  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

In addition

  • Strong experience in external audit, with exposure to construction clients highly desirable

  • Strong experience in statutory reporting and/or external audit

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • A proactive, organised and detail-oriented approach
