Assistant Production Coordinator
Position Overview
This is a full-time role based in Rydalmere, NSW, offering an exciting opportunity to join the team at Hunter Douglas Limited as an Assistant Production Coordinator. In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation and efficiency of the company's fashion and textile design production processes. We're looking for a passionate and hands-on Assistant Production Coordinator to lead daily assembly operations, driving efficiency, quality, and safety across our factory coverings line.
What you'll do
- Prepare and update daily production schedules, job lists, and workflow plans.
- Ensure work orders, cut sheets, and production documentation are accurate and available.
- Track order progress and follow up on delays, shortages, rework, or sequencing issues.
- Coordinate material availability with warehouse teams and maintain component records.
- Maintain production boards, reporting templates, and quality documentation.
- Support continuous improvement activities, including HDMS reporting and 5S audits.
- Act as a key liaison between Production, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Quality teams.
- Support WHS administration, including safety records and incident followups.
- All other duties as assigned
Who you are
- Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (blind making experience highly regarded).
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with schedules, data, and structured processes.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced production environment.
- Confident communicator with strong followup discipline.
- Certificate or Diploma in Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or similar (preferred).
- Experience with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement is an advantage.
