About the role We have a 2-year fixed term opportunity for a Senior Planning Engineer to joining our Asset Investment Planning team to support the efficient development and delivery of products for our asset investment planning function. This team identifies the long-term water and wastewater infrastructure for Water Corporation's Perth metro regions. The role will be based in our Leederville office and will report to the Manager - Assets Metro Source Treatment & Recovery. Who are we? What the role will involve Assess current and future asset/system performance and risk against requirements to inform investment and planning priorities and assessment of optimal investment timing Contribute to an integrated planning approach across relevant sections and branches to enable optimal decisions around timing and scope of investment, management of risk and customer service levels Develop and evaluate scheme asset improvement and investment options to achieve required business outcomes in accordance with strategic and life cycle planning frameworks Develop capital, operating, regulatory, monitoring and maintenance plans to meet investment objectives of the relevant asset portfolio Develop investment programs, business cases and projects with deliverables that mitigate risk and meet the investment objectives of the relevant asset portfolio Scope and specify capital projects and operating work packages to enable service providers to meet relevant asset portfolio investment objectives Your skills and experience To be successful in the role you'll be degree qualified in an engineering discipline or similar, and have experience in the planning, design, acquisition, and asset management of water and wastewater infrastructure. A background in planning, with water or wastewater infrastructure will be highly desirable. Your ability to build and drive positive and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders will be important in this role. Sound like a match?
