Apply Job no: 4492 Category: Maintenance, Operations & Reliability Karratha-based opportunity supporting environmental outcomes across the Pilbara region Salary of 115,561 plus location allowance plus eligibility to apply for housing assistance 14-month acting (08/07/2026 - 31/08/2027) About the role We are seeking a Technical Advisor - Environment to provide expert advice and guidance on environmental compliance and management across Regional Operations. Reporting to the Team Leader - Operations Services, you will work closely with regional teams, corporate environmental specialists and external regulators to ensure environmental obligations are met and continuously improved. This role is critical in supporting operational delivery, driving compliance and embedding the corporate Environmental Management System (EMS) across the Region. What the role will involve Provide expert advice on environmental compliance, approvals and regulatory requirements Support environmental approvals processes including EP Act referrals, licences and permits Lead and support the implementation and ongoing improvement of the Environmental Management System Coordinate environmental incident investigations and compliance reporting Undertake inspections, audits and environmental performance monitoring Liaise with regulators and internal stakeholders to drive positive environmental outcomes Real Benefits that Matter Air Conditioning Subsidy An additional 38 hours (5 days) annual leave Additional Leave Travel Concession Additional Allowances Including Overtime Available About you Tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering, natural resource management or similar, or equivalent experience Strong experience in environmental management, compliance and regulatory approvals Knowledge of environmental legislation and standards relevant to infrastructure or operations Proven ability to analyse data and prepare clear, technical reports Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including working with regulators Experience in incident management and driving continuous improvement initiatives Sound like a match?
