Job Description
This role involves the coordination of field placements for our social work courses and teaching our newly implemented Masters of Social Work Course. You'll be pivotal in ensuring students are prepared academically and practically for their work placements. You'll ensure proactive compliance with regulatory framework, enhance student engagement and ensure academic success through effective placements. You'll teach the next generation of social workers.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership and develop current, relevant material for fieldwork placements.
- Oversee the assessment process to align with learning outcomes, ensuring the quality and compliance of the program with AE standards and regulatory bodies.
- Engage in professional development to enhance teaching quality and stay current with emerging practices.
- Deliver engaging placement induction programs and ensure students meet the requirements for successful placement experiences.
- Incorporating feedback from agencies to enhance the onboarding process.
- Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures; Actively participate in the investigation and resolution of incidents.
Qualifications
You'll have a post-graduate qualification in Social Work, or a related discipline along with eligibility for membership in relevant professional bodies. In addition, you'll have:
- 3+ years' post-qualification relevant industry experience.
- Willingness to undertake at least 20 hours of continued professional development each year.
- High professional and ethical conduct, resilience, and a collaborative approach to both teaching and industry engagement.
- A strong understanding of theory and practice in the relevant discipline.
