Brewing Area Manager

Your Impact

As Brewing Area Manager, you will be the go-to person within our Yatala Brewery for one of the brewing process areas, and will provide technical expertise to the Brewing team. This includes ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications, and optimisation of processes and improving plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of brewing science to determine necessary process adjustments, recipes, standards and procedures to ensure technical and quality specifications are being met
• Development of SOPs, coaching and training of team members on work processes
• Implementation, management and monitoring of the effects of process changes
• Troubleshooting of brewing equipment, processes and automation to support problem solving on site
• Engage with the team leaders, operators and maintenance team in a proactive manner to ensure clear communication and feedback
• Lead process improvement initiatives and operationalisation of capex projects
• Lead safety audits and risk assessments, as well as work with the brewing team and site stakeholders to maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure adherence to HACCP and quality standards

About You

You will be a proactive and collaborative individual with the brewing expertise to support operations at our Yatala brewery.

• Degree qualification in Science, Engineering or a related discipline
• IBD qualifications
• Prior production operations experience within a large volume brewery
• Strong knowledge of brewing processes, equipment and automation
• Proven track record of problem solving in a complex manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication and ability to influence change across a wide variety of stakeholders
