Department of Interventional Neuroradiology
Applications are invited from a suitably qualified Postgraduate Fellow for Fixed term in the Western Sydney Local Health District. The position will be primarily located at Westmead Hospital within the Department of Interventional Neuroradiology.
The Interventional Radiology Services within the Department of Neurosurgery provides the full spectrum of INR procedures including clot retrieval and stroke management, aneurysm treatment by coil or stent and embolistation.
Successful applicants will have completed postgraduate training in a specialty relevant to Interventional Neuroradiology, such as radiology, neurology or neurosurgery.
Applicants expecting to be awarded fellowship within 6 months are eligible to apply.
The position will be for a period of twelve months for the 2027 Clinical Year.
Appointees may be eligible for credentialing and privileging across all other facilities in the Western Sydney Local Health District.
Conditions of appointment are in accordance with the Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Essential Requirements for Appointment
1. Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the RACR, RACS or RACP or equivalent as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award. Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency. Must hold a current NSW Environment Protection Authority license (if applicable)
2. Sound clinical knowledge in Interventional Neuroradiology demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position
3. Expertise in relevant fields sufficient for appointment to the position

1. Qualifications and credentials required for core scope of practice in the specialty.
2. Evidence of additional qualifications, skills and/or experience required for specific scope of practice for the specialty
