Senior Mental Health Clinician - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)
This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata'd to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

What you'll be doing
- The Senior Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Clinician will apply their in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge to plan, coordinate, and implement evidence based, trauma informed and developmentally appropriate assessment and treatment to children and adolescents (0 to 18 years).
- The Senior CAMHS Clinician will provide clinical oversight to the clinicians within the CAMHS team.
- The position sits within the CAMHS and reports to the FWLHD CAMHS District Manager.

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:
- Applicants must meet one of the below criteria: a) Occupational Therapy Level 3 Registered with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist & have min 3 yrs clinical exp or post grad qualification in CAMHS. b) Social Worker Level 3 Bach of Social Work with eligibility for membership to AASW & have min 3 yrs clinical exp or post grad qualification in CAMHS. c) Graduate of Djirruwang Bach of Health Science program & have min 3 yrs clinical exp or post grad qualification in CAMHS. d) Psychologist Registered with AHPRA, full registration with the Psychology Board of Aust & have min of 4 yrs clinical exp. e) Senior Psychologist Registered with AHPRA, full registration with the Psychology Board of Aust & have completed a min of 1 yr at the 9th yr of service & thereafter point on the salary scale for Psychologist. f) Clinical Nurse Consultant 1 Registered with AHPRA to practise as an RN with min 5 yrs FTE post registration clinical exp & post grad qualifications relevant to area of specialty.
- Extensive experience in assessment, intervention and care coordination of CAMHS consumers.
- Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve, apply professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as per of a multidisciplinary team.
- Extensive contemporary experience and knowledge of psychological practice, as well as demonstrated understanding of the principles of trauma informed care and its application when working with children/adolescents and families/carers.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and competence in the use of information technology systems.
- Available to work across FWLHD sites on request and the ability to travel for work purposes.
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 licence acceptable, subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment).
