The Business & Markets Leader is responsible for shaping and delivering Arup's market strategy in South Australia, ensuring alignment with regional and global priorities. This role drives client engagement, market positioning, and pursuit planning by leveraging deep industry knowledge and strong connections within the Adelaide market. Working closely with the SA State Leader and Local Business Leaders, the role positions Arup for sustainable growth and the successful delivery of high-value projects in a range of disciplines and markets including transport, defence, resources and planning.

The Opportunity

Lead the development and execution of the South Australia Business & Markets strategy aligned with regional and global priorities
Build and maintain senior client relationships across government, agencies, and private sector stakeholders
Drive winning work by overseeing pursuit strategy, bid prioritisation, and pipeline management
Champion a client-centric culture, supporting teams to develop compelling value propositions and improve win rates
Collaborate across local, regional, and global teams to share market intelligence and support integrated "One Arup" delivery

Is this role right for you?

Significant experience (15+ years) in transport planning and/or delivery, infrastructure advisory, or integrated planning
Strong network within the Adelaide market, with the ability to generate and influence opportunities
Proven track record of winning and leading major projects or programs
Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen and leadership capability
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams

The office is located and on the doorstep of a wide range of excellent cafes and restaurants, public transport and only a stone's throw away from the Adelaide Central markets.
