Truck Driver

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused HC Driver to join our Transport Operations team based in Kenwick, WA. In this role, you will safely transport containerised freight while ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently and in line with company and legislative requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining your allocated vehicle, completing delivery documentation, and providing excellent customer service. This is a permanent full-time position with 5:00am starts, offering a starting rate of $35.20 per hour, plus overtime and superannuation.

Key Accountabilities

• Safely and efficiently deliver customer freight while meeting scheduled delivery timeframes.
• Operate company vehicles in accordance with road laws, fatigue management requirements, and company policies.
• Complete delivery documentation and accurately report any delivery or vehicle issues.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and conduct routine pre-start inspections.
• Ensure compliance with all workplace health, safety, and operational procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Current HC (Heavy Combination) Licence as a minimum.
• MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) preferred; however, applicants must be eligible to obtain one as a Port Carrier.
• Previous port or wharf cartage experience is highly regarded but not essential.
• Sound understanding of road safety, Chain of Responsibility, and fatigue management requirements.
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced transport environment.
