About the Role
The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end demand planning, forecasting, production planning, and scheduling function across multiple sites.
This role ensures customer demand is accurately forecasted, translated into achievable production plans, and monitored against actual orders and schedule adherence.
The position will lead a Demand Planner and production scheduler/planners, providing direction, coaching, performance management, and continuous improvement across planning processes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the monthly and weekly demand planning process, developing and maintaining rolling forecasts using historical demand, customer inputs, sales trends, and market insights
- Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, and Procurement teams to validate assumptions, and identify demand risks and opportunities Monitor forecast accuracy and compare demand plans against actual orders, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve reliability
- Maintain clear visibility of demand changes, supply constraints, and potential service impacts across the network
- Oversee production planning and scheduling across multiple sites, ensuring alignment to forecast demand, capacity, materials, and inventory targets
- Monitor schedule adherence and support site teams with analysis of deviations, delays, and inefficiencies
- Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy, schedule stability, and overall service performance
- Maintain planning parameters and master data within ERP/MRP systems to ensure accurate and reliable outputs
- Lead, coach, and develop Demand Planners and Production Schedulers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field (preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes
- Demonstrated experience in Demand Forecasting / Planning. Production scheduling in a multi site manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing staff across multiple location.
- Experience utilising MRP/ERPs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
