About the role
Australian Red Cross’s Community Programs provide support for social connection, financial and digital literacy support, linking and referrals to appropriate support services. These programs include providing daily transport and social support. Such services are vital to ensure that clients are not at risk of becoming socially isolated.
The primary role of the Support Worker is client and stakeholder engagement within Red Cross Programs by ensuring the volunteer work force is utilised in the most efficient and effective manner whilst supporting the delivery of services and program operations.
What you will bring
- Ability to work under general supervision, autonomously and as part of a team within a matrix structure
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver outputs within specified time frames
- Communication and interpersonal skills with ability to with people with from diverse backgrounds
- Working knowledge and relevant experience working with vulnerable individuals and/or families, in a community services’ organisation or similar setting
- Sound knowledge and proficiency in use of software applications including databases and Microsoft suite of programs
- General office administrative experience
