We are seeking a Senior Manager – Client Services to join our Workers Compensation division in Melbourne. This is a newly created leadership role, established to strengthen client retention, elevate service consistency, and better align Client Services with Operations.

This role will provide senior leadership and strategic direction to the Client Services function, with a strong focus on retaining key employer clients and delivering a high quality client experience.

You will act as executive sponsor for platinum clients, represent the Victorian Senior Leadership Team in key client forums, and oversee tender activity for existing clients in partnership with the Bid Manager and Client Managers.

While this role includes client engagement, it is not a purely clientfacing position. The core focus is leadership, strategy, and alignment — setting the direction for the team, strengthening relationships between Operations and Client Services, and ensuring a consistent, highquality experience for longstanding employers.


How you'll make an impact

  • Provide senior leadership to the Client Services team, setting clear strategy, direction and priorities
  • Drive client retention across the Workers Compensation portfolio, including tenders for existing clients
  • Act as executive sponsor for platinum clients, representing GB and the VIC SLT
  • Strengthen alignment between Operations and Client Services to improve consistency and service outcomes
  • Lead and support client engagement where required, including highstakes or complex conversations
  • Oversee bid and tender activity for existing clients in partnership with the Bid Manager
  • Build confidence with clients that their portfolio is in safe, capable hands
  • Navigate competing stakeholder expectations with a pragmatic, practical and solutionsfocused approach

About you

You’re a confident and credible leader who can balance strategy with practical execution. You’re comfortable having tough conversations when required, without damaging relationships, and you bring a calm, measured approach to complex client environments.

You will bring:

  • Senior leadership experience in Workers Compensation or a related insurance environment
  • Strong understanding of the Workers Compensation scheme
  • Proven ability to engage confidently with senior clients and stakeholders
  • Experience working with large employer clients (Employer experience highly regarded)
  • Ability to “sell” the value of the business to existing clients and support retention
  • Strong organisational skills and a handson, pragmatic leadership style
  • Experience across both agent and employer environments is highly desirable
  • No formal qualifications required
