About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Configuration Manager to support engineering and project-level change management across our programs.
You will be basedon-site at our Sydney Olympic Park office, with the flexibility to work remotely one day per week.
This role is critical in ensuring configuration integrity, traceability, and control across hardware, software, and documentation throughout the product lifecycle. You will work closely with engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure changes are effectively assessed, managed, and implemented.
As Configuration Manager, you will:
- Establish and maintain configuration management and change control processes across projects
- Manage configuration items (CIs), including hardware, software, documentation, and BOMs
- Oversee engineering and project change activities, including ECRs, ECOs, and change proposals
- Coordinate assessment of technical, cost, schedule, and production impacts
- Facilitate Change Control Boards (CCBs) where required
- Define and maintain functional, allocated, and product baselines
- Ensure engineering data is accurately captured, version-controlled, and released
- Support integration of CM practices across design, testing, and production activities
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory obligations
- Collaborate across engineering, project, quality, and production teams
- Provide guidance and training on CM processes and tools
About You
You will bring:
- Hold or able to obtain NV1 Security Clearance essential (Australian Citizenship required)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Analytical capability to assess technical and project impacts
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional processes
- Experience with CM tools (e.g. Windchill, SVN, GitHub, JIRA)
- Technical background in engineering design, systems engineering, or production
- Minimum two years' experience in configuration or engineering change management desirable
- Experience in defence or regulated industries and familiarity with ASDEFCON change management processes and procedures
