We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join our Technology team. In this role, you will be instrumental in embedding quality engineering practices across the software delivery lifecycle, ensuring our applications perform at the highest standards of reliability, scalability and customer experience.
Working within agile squads, you will contribute to both manual and automated testing, strengthen our test frameworks, and collaborate closely with engineers, product owners and stakeholders to deliver innovative and highquality digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities and What You'll Bring
- Design, create and maintain high quality test cases using tools such as Jira Zephyr, applying structured testing practices and attention to detail
- Execute manual and automated testing across frontend and backend systems, ensuring comprehensive end to end coverage and product reliability for customer facing applications
- Perform functional, regression and end to end (E2E) testing, leveraging strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks and test suites using modern tools such as Playwright or Cypress, contributing to improved coverage, efficiency and continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines
- Build and maintain robust UI and browser based automated tests that validate real user journeys across customer facing web applications
- Perform cross browser testing using tools such as LambdaTest and BrowserStack
- Experience working with APIs and API testing tools such as REST Assured and Pact (contract testing)
- Identify, triage and resolve defects, demonstrating strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly articulate customer impact and risk
- Collaborate with engineers, business analysts and stakeholders to plan and execute test strategies, including risk identification and mitigation
- Create and execute test plans, analyse results and troubleshoot issues, including root cause analysis of recurring defects
- Contribute to documentation such as test guides, knowledge articles and test data strategies to support quality outcomes
- Apply modern quality engineering techniques including BDD practices, coding standards and participation in automation code reviews
- Strong communication skills, with experience working in an Agile delivery environment
- Bring strong stakeholder engagement, agile delivery experience and a proactive, detail oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog desirable
