Hours Per Week: 24 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours)

Where you'll be working
This role is based within neonatal services at Auburn Hospital, delivering care to newborns and their families.

Works within a multidisciplinary neonatal care team

Reports to Nursing Unit Managers and Nurse Manager

Collaborates with clinical nurse educators and consultants

Delivers care within a hospital-based acute environment

Supports families and carers throughout the care journey


What you'll be doing
You will provide person-centred neonatal care within a multidisciplinary team.

Deliver safe and effective care tailored to newborn needs

Monitor and respond to changes in neonatal condition

Support families and advocate for their care needs

Coordinate discharge planning and referrals

Provide supervision and support to junior staff and students

Essential Criteria:

Registration: Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria:

1. Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)

2. Current neonatal experience in New Born or Paediatric experience..

3. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work

4. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care

5. Effective interpersonal skills showing initiative and leadership to junior members of the team

6. Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues

7. Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal
