About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
To provide supervision and be responsible for the commissioning, calibration, service, repair, safety and performance testing and installation of biomedical equipment within SLHD.
Perform daily servicing, trouble-shooting, diagnosing & repairs of biomedical equipment. Perform preventive maintenance routine and testing to AS3551. Maintain all service records and entering test/service results into database.

Ideal Candidate
- Relevant studies supportive of obtaining Degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognised tertiary institution and acceptable for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
- Good communication, interpersonal skills and proven computer literacy and ability to maintain a computer database.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and practical experience in the implementation of AS3551 for purposes of equipment testing and verifications in conjunction with other relevant medical standards.
- Possess experience in repair and maintenance of clinical/renal dialysis equipment.
- Demonstrated or developing experience in the maintenance, testing and repair of biomedical or clinical equipment, with knowledge of Australian Standards and ability to follow technical procedures and documentation requirements.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable)
