ABB Motion Services in Eagle Farm, QLD is seeking a Field Service Technician for a stable, long-term career. As ABB's national field service team, we specialise in end-to-end services that keep your rotating machine assets reliable, efficient, and future-ready throughout their entire lifecycle.

In this role, you'll perform testing and service work on rotating electrical equipment in line with ABB standards, while delivering strong customer service and collaborating with internal teams. It requires solid technical expertise, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver service work to meet customer expectations and drive satisfaction

  • Communicate clearly with customers, managing timelines and expectations Perform field service activities, including technical analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective actions

  • Apply a first-time-right approach to ensure quality and timely completion Prepare materials, tools, and documentation to support effective service delivery

  • Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with teams to enhance outcomes

The work model for the role is: Onsite #LI-Onsite

Qualifications for the role

  • Trade qualification in Electrical Fitting or Mechanical discipline with relevant license

  • Minimum 2 years' hands-on industry experience

  • Strong understanding of OHS, regulatory, and legal compliance requirements Proven experience in technical support and service delivery

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with effective problem-solving skills

  • Additional certifications advantageous (Working at Heights, Confined Space, HRWL, Rigging/Dogging, First Aid/CPR, Low Voltage Rescue)
