Medical/Rehab Ward Part Time Registered Nurse
Peninsula Private Hospital is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse working within the Medical/Rehab Department for 60hrs/fortnight. Your role will be to deliver excellence in clinical leadership and provide safety and quality to patients and members of the multidisciplinary team.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, the Registered Nurse provides clinical leadership and professional support across the Medical/Rehab Ward.

Located on the Redcliffe Peninsula, Peninsula Private Hospital is a 62-bed medical, surgical and rehabilitation facility providing services to the local community for over 30 years. The hospital is undergoing significant growth, including expansion of perioperative services and the planned opening of a new High Dependency Unit in 2026.

Key responsibilities:
- Delivering and coordinating safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care
- Supporting and mentoring nursing staff in line with scope of practice, education and experience
- Providing clinical guidance and escalation support to junior staff
- Collaborating closely with Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) to ensure safe, efficient and coordinated care delivery
- Promoting effective communication within the multidisciplinary team
- Working in partnership with patients and families to support shared decision-making
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, accreditation preparation and clinical governance activities
- Supporting effective patient flow and operational efficiency
Essential Criteria:
- Current AHPRA Registration
- FIM trained
- IV Cannulation
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Rehab setting
- Demonstrated ability to deliver safe, high quality patient-centred care
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and QLDNMA/ANMF- QLD Nurse and Midwives' -Enterprise Agreement 2022, RN salary ranging from $41.49 - $66.23 per hour.
