Position Summary
The Assistant Client Manager will support the senior client manager in managing client relationships, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role involves a blend of client interaction, project management, and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in tax and business services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients and projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in managing and nurturing client relationships, addressing client inquiries, and providing timely and accurate information.
- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of client jobs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
- Identify advisory opportunities and expand services across the existing client base.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and analyses for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Help maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including financial data, correspondence, and job documentation.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal tax legislation and stay updated on changes.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth job delivery and client satisfaction.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new clients, including gathering necessary documentation and setting up client accounts in conjunction with support staff.
Skills
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting / client-facing role in a public practice or accounting firm.
- Proficiency in Xero.
- Strong understanding of tax and business services.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Strong customer service orientation.
