About the role:

We are seeking a passionate Level 3 Physiotherapist to join our Outpatient Physiotherapy team, providing timely assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for outpatient and orthopaedic fracture clinic patients.

This Part Time, Monday to Friday role involves delivering both individual and group-based rehabilitation programs, managing waitlists, and supporting efficient access to physiotherapy services. The position is 1.0 FTE, comprising 0.4 FTE permanent hours and 0.6 FTE temporary hours until 7 February 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Working closely with the Level 6 Physiotherapist, Physiotherapy Assistant and multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, maintain clinical readiness of shared treatment spaces, complete timely documentation, and contribute to ongoing service improvement and outcome evaluation.

Where you'll be working:

Maitland Hospital is a modern Level 5 facility providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services to the local community. The Physiotherapy Department supports a busy and diverse Orthopaedic service, including hand, foot and ankle, shoulder, elective and trauma caseloads.

This role offers the opportunity to work across inpatient wards, outpatient physiotherapy services and the Orthopaedic Fracture Clinic, which operates four days per week. A newly established seven-day service supports inpatient wards and the Emergency Department, with dedicated staffing in place to ensure continuity of care.

You will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and achieving the best possible outcomes. About you

You are an experienced and motivated Physiotherapist with strong musculoskeletal and orthopaedic clinical skills. You are confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

You will bring:

  • Experience managing musculoskeletal and orthopaedic caseloads
  • The ability to deliver both individual and group rehabilitation programs
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication and documentation skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach

    You will be supported through ongoing clinical supervision, professional development opportunities, and participation in district-wide outpatient physiotherapy education and working groups.
