Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist To join our Mental Health Services team.
We are looking for a Deputy Director Clinical Services and Medical Superintendent. The Deputy Director Clinical Services and Medical Superintendent Concord Centre for Mental Health (CCMH) will work in collaboration with the Director Clinical Services CCMH to support the management of the clinical services, medical staff and training, research and quality programs and other functions. The Deputy Director and Medical Superintendent will provide clinical leadership of mental health services at CCMH and Concord and Canterbury Hospitals Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Services and the community mental health services at Croydon and Canterbury Community Health Services.
The Deputy Director Clinical Services and Medical Superintendent CCMH will provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in psychiatry, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Mental Health Service and Hospital.
The Deputy Director Clinical Services and Medical Superintendent CCMH will work in collaboration with medical nursing and allied health colleagues to promote evidence-based practice and innovation, to enhance clinical engagement and professional practice and standards, as well as a culture of respect for the individual, teamwork and continuous performance improvement.
Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Position is currently available. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from date of application, may be considered.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
