About the role:
This senior role provides specialist assessment, formulation, and evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals and groups with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and/or complex eating disorders. Therapeutic approaches may include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), DBT for Eating Disorders, CBT-E, and Conversational Model Therapy.
The position also provides clinical leadership and supervision to psychologists and mental health clinicians, delivers specialist consultation and training across the District, and supports high-quality care for people with complex presentations.
In addition, the Senior Clinical Psychologist leads and contributes to service development, quality improvement, outcome evaluation, research activities, and reporting. The role is accountable to the Service Director, Centre for Psychotherapy.
About you
You are passionate about supporting people with Borderline Personality Disorder and/or complex eating disorders and committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy. You value structured, model-driven practice and are open to working within established therapeutic frameworks.
Training in the Centre for Psychotherapy's core modalities is provided for clinicians who are not yet experienced in these approaches. You will be supported through structured learning, regular supervision, and ongoing individual and group consultation.
Requirements
Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent, displayed on the Psychology Board of Australia website.

- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
- This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
