About the Team

Based in Taree, you will become part of a dedicated multidisciplinary Specialist Palliative Care team committed to supporting patients and families across both hospital and community settings. The team provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care throughout the Lower Mid North Coast region and works collaboratively to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care and support.

This role also provides valuable administrative support to our Palliative Care Volunteer program, contributing to the important work volunteers undertake within the service.

About the Role

As the Administration Officer, you will provide efficient and effective administrative and clerical support to the multidisciplinary Specialist Palliative Care Hub. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, Taree Generalist Care Services, you will be responsible for a broad range of administrative functions that help ensure the smooth operation of the service.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing correspondence, mail and telephone enquiries
  • Coordinating diaries and appointments
  • Supporting virtual care activities
  • Preparing meeting agendas, documentation and minutes
  • Developing and maintaining quality documents
  • Managing email correspondence and records
  • Processing purchasing and receipting through health applications
  • Providing administrative support to clinical staff and volunteers

About You

We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated and professional team member who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support.

You will bring:

  • Relevant Business Administration or Health Administration qualifications, Medical Terminology knowledge, or equivalent administration experience
  • Demonstrated high-level computer literacy and confidence using a range of software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Well-developed organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities
  • A proactive approach and commitment to working cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team
