The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel Distribution is looking for a Dispatch Coordinator to join the team based predominately in Kewdale, WA with the potential of working at Bibra Lakes, WA. Orrcon Steel Distribution is a leading Australian supplier of steel and aluminium products, offering a comprehensive range engineered to meet the demands of diverse industries. As a Dispatch Coordinator, you will plan, co-ordinate and control the dispatch of our products, both incoming and outgoing, ensuring high levels of customer service are met. You will be interacting with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain and sales.

This role is a full-time role working Monday-Friday, with typical working hours 7:00am - 3:30pm, and the potential of earlier starts from time to time. What Will You Do?

In this critical role you will be responsible for:

  • planning, coordinating and controlling inbound and outbound stock movement at the Kewdale site
  • leading and controlling inventory integrity within the site warehouse and ensuring accuracy of stock holding at all times
  • accurate data entry in dispatching orders and expediting for incoming orders
  • liaising with customer service, sales and operations teams, along with third-party transport providers
  • upholding the high safety standards of the site predominantly with issues related to transportation, Chain of Responsibility and Load restraint compliance

  • high levels of attention to detail and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • knowledge and experience of MS Office, SAP, WMS or similar ERP systems
  • effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration with departments and teams
