General Summary:

The Events Manager is responsible for the resource preparation, planning, and delivery of all IT Nation events and programs. This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure all events run efficiently and are coordinated within budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Marketing team, with close attention to detail
  • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
  • May coach and review the work of other team members
  • Prepares and maintains signage and printable budgets throughout the lifecycle of the events
  • Runs project plans for event deliverables and identifies/resolves potential issues
  • Serves as the main point of contact for all incoming internal requests at large events
  • Provides suggestions for improvements to event flow and attendee experience
  • Assists with integration plans that impact successful event recruitment and execution
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for the IT Nation team and the marketing process
  • Facilitates the training of new colleagues within the team
  • Completes administrative tasks that accompany IT Nation events, which include production management, identifying deadlines, budgets, and invoices, and gathering quotas for print pieces

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision
  • Advanced knowledge of the applicable work area
  • Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business and partner requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry and otherwise move up to 10 pounds on a regular basis
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Salesforce, Marketo, Cvent, Workamajig, Espiserver, and/or Trello

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent business experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Cvent certification

Working Conditions:

  • On-site / Hybrid depending on location
  • 0-10% travel may be required
