Your role supports UniSuper doing this by the development and monitoring of an investment tax framework which will assist the Fund with managing investment tax both domestically and foreign jurisdictions. This role will form part of UniSuper's Tax Team within the broader Corporate Service Business Unit. The role will work closely with UniSuper's Investment team, Legal Team, UniSuper's Custodian and external advisors.

The role


You will support the delivery of investment tax activities, contributing to governance, compliance and optimal aftertax outcomes for members. Working with Investment Tax Managers, you will assist across a range of tax matters and stakeholder interactions.

  • Assist with investment tax matters including due diligence, advice and structuring across asset classes
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including custodians and advisors
  • Support accurate tax reporting and review investment tax portfolio settings
  • Contribute to foreign tax obligations and required filings
  • Monitor tax legislation and market developments and share insights with the business
  • Support the development and improvement of tax policies, systems and procedures

About you


You bring foundational experience in investment tax, with a focus on quality, detail and collaboration in a professional environment. You are motivated by contributing to strong governance and delivering positive member outcomes.

  • Degree qualified with CA, CPA or legal qualifications preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience within superannuation, funds management, financial services or professional services
  • Investment tax knowledge, with exposure to international tax preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality work
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for superannuation and its impact on members
