About The Position

One of our operating companies, Veracity, is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team in Brisbane.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead the finance function, drive continuous improvement and partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

We are looking for a self-motivated, analytical and detail-oriented finance professional with strong business partnering and influencing skills. Sound decision-making based on accurate and timely financial analysis is critical to the success of this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, month-end close activities, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, banking, cash flow management and treasury activities.
  • Manage all taxation and statutory compliance obligations, while coordinating with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial performance analysis to support strategic business decisions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls, risk management frameworks, and finance policies to ensure strong governance.
  • Partner with business leaders to provide commercial insights, financial analysis, pricing support, and recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, reporting processes and internal controls.

Skills Required

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in financial accounting, finance management or a similar senior finance role.
  • CA qualification (or equivalent professional accounting qualification).
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
  • Demonstrated experience providing commercial and strategic financial support to business leaders.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Business Central or a similar ERP system (desirable).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and reporting tools.
