The branch builds Council's capacity to manage performance, portfolios and change to deliver desired outcomes for the city and adapt to future demand and growth. The Role As Principal Officer Program Performance, you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the successful delivery of priority strategic projects that create meaningful community outcomes. Working closely with Program Owner and senior stakeholders, you will lead program governance, performance, and delivery activities including planning, financial management, risk, and reporting. You will provide high-level strategic advice in a complex environment, anticipate emerging issues, and develop actionable solutions that support program success. This role requires a strong focus on collaboration, and continuous improvement, while modelling a high-performance, values-based culture aligned to Council's Leadership Blueprint. To be successfulyou will have: strong leadership skills with a focus on performance and values-based outcomes extensive experience in program management, governance and reporting proven ability to provide strategic advice in complex environments advanced analytical and problem-solving capability experience leading change and delivering business improvement initiatives sound financial and resource management expertise excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
