Quality Lead
UGL is seeking an experienced Quality Lead to join our team on an ongoing basis working on a major Oil & Gas project. This is a Perth based role working a 5:2 Roster
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing quality control processes, mentoring team members, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will act as a critical link between frontline operations and strategic management, working to minimize defects and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide quality leadership, advice, and assurance across work scopes
Support pre-mobilisation readiness through development and review of Job Packs, ITPs, WPS, weld maps, consumables, and traceability
Coordinate and maintain quality control systems and registers
Review and monitor quality performance and compliance against project requirements
Implement quality performance measures and reporting, including trend analysis
Support inspection planning and scheduling
Deliver quality education and guidance to project and execution teams
Identify and manage quality risks impacting execution outcomes
Review upcoming scopes to ensure quality readiness
Produce timely quality reports with mitigation strategies
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within Oil & Gas or major projects
Strong experience building Hot Work Job Packs
CSWIP certification (mandatory)
Certificate 10 Welding Supervisor
Commissioning and systems completion experience
Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, including reporting and data analysis
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
