Job Description
- Perform a critical function of maintaining the integrity of distribution platform operations and capability across the Qantas Group
- Leverage platform performance data, booking analytics and industry knowledge to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Qantas's distribution technology capability

The Senior Distribution Platform Lead ultimately ensures that Qantas Distribution platforms support customers and third-party resellers to book and manage Qantas flights seamlessly. Through strong stakeholder engagement and commercial acumen, the Lead will contribute to platform investment decisions and support the evolution of Qantas's distribution platform capability across direct and indirect channels. The role acts as the primary point of operational contact for distribution platform matters across internal teams, coordinating with the Senior Partner Onboarding Lead for all external partner and vendor communications, and escalating issues and risks to the Manager, Distribution Platform Enablement as required.
The role requires strong analytical capability, a solid understanding of airline distribution technology, eCommerce and merchandising best practices, and IATA NDC standards, with the ability to work collaboratively across technology, commercial, and partner teams. The Senior Distribution Platform Lead will leverage platform performance data, booking analytics, and industry knowledge to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Qantas's distribution technology capability.
You'll have -
- 5+ years' experience in airline distribution, travel technology, digital platform operations, or a related analytical or technology delivery role; with demonstrated experience in a platform operations or product support capacity
- Degree qualified, or equivalent industry / technical experience and qualifications.
- Solid understanding of airline distribution technology including IATA NDC standards, GDS integration, and API-based distribution platforms
- Strong analytical capability with demonstrated ability to interpret platform performance data, identify root causes, and translate findings into clear and actionable recommendations
- Demonstrated experience in platform operations or IT Service Management systems, including incident response, partner coordination, and release management
- Experience supporting product development activities including requirements gathering, backlog management, user acceptance testing, or business analysis in a technology delivery context
- Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and maintain effective working relationships across internal and external teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex operational and technical information clearly to non-technical audiences
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands across operations, reporting, and product development in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with platform performance reporting, including development of dashboards, KPI frameworks, and executive-level reporting
- Airline or travel industry experience strongly preferred; familiarity with IATA NDC certification processes and airline retailing concepts highly regarded
