Job Description

  • Shape and lead the strategic direction of Qantas's distribution platform model, ensuring platforms are scalable, resilient, and capable of supporting the full breadth of Qantas Group distribution requirements
  • Own the end-to-end platform capability and performance framework for all distribution platforms ensuring they deliver the revenue, channel reach, and merchandising capability the Qantas Group requires to compete effectively across all booking channels.

The Manager, Distribution Platform Enablement is a senior management role responsible for designing and executing capability enhancements and ensuring operational resilience across the Qantas NDC (New Distribution Capability) platform and all other flight distribution platforms across Qantas Airways. This role sits as the bridge between industrial transformation, commercial strategy, and outcome delivery, providing expert leadership to define, build, and continuously evolve a world-class distribution ecosystem that enables Qantas to compete effectively across all booking channels.

Through deep product and capability expertise and strategic leadership, the Manager will drive platform adoption, integration, and performance across customer booking channels, ensuring Qantas remains at the forefront of airline distribution innovation. The Manager will leverage platform performance data, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to inform investment decisions and influence senior stakeholders across the Group to prioritise initiatives that deliver measurable commercial value.

You'll have -

  • 10+ years' experience in airline distribution, travel technology, digital platform delivery, or related technology leadership roles; with demonstrated experience leading complex technology programs at a senior level
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline; or equivalent experience in airline distribution technology
  • Proven senior leadership capability with demonstrated experience influencing executive stakeholders and driving complex cross-functional technology and commercial initiatives
  • Deep expertise in airline distribution technology including IATA NDC standards, ONE Order, GDS integration, and modern API-based distribution architecture
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to translate technology platform capability into measurable revenue and distribution outcomes
  • Experience managing large-scale technology platform delivery programs, including vendor management, architecture governance, and multi-stakeholder delivery coordination
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with ability to navigate complex organisational structures and align diverse stakeholders on technology strategy and investment
  • Excellent strategic thinking capability, with experience defining multi-year technology roadmaps and translating business strategy into executable platform architecture decisions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience using data and platform telemetry to drive continuous improvement
