About this opportunity:
- Support the design and development of Aje Athletica & Studio collections, combining performance-focused innovation with the brand's signature aesthetic
- Research market trends, consumer preferences and emerging trends to inform design decisions
- Create mood boards, colour palettes, and sketches to develop innovative and cohesive collection concepts
- Support in creating innovative, functional products that delight and engage customers
- Create and maintain tech packs and critical style information including CADs and coversheets, clearly communicating all design, fit, trim, technical construction and finishing details to suppliers
- Work closely with Production and Garment Tech teams to ensure samples meet quality, fit and performance standards
- Provide detailed technical specifications and support fittings to ensure designs are accurately translated into final product
- Communicate lab dip and strike-off feedback to suppliers, ensuring development aligns with the critical path
- Update seasonal design development documents including line sheets and style boards to ensure accuracy across the wider team
- Work with the Product Developer to select appropriate fabrics and materials, considering performance, cost, quality and suitability
- Manage fabrics, trims, prints and developments in line with critical path timelines and pricing expectations
- Support commercial outcomes by considering costings and product lifecycle throughout the design process
You will bring:
- Strong interest in colour, design detail, fabrics and print development, with a passion for activewear and lifestyle apparel
- Highly organised and detail oriented
- Experience working in a fast-paced design environment, managing multiple seasons simultaneously
- Understanding of garment construction, fit and fabrications, ideally within performance or activewear categories
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with strong CAD skills
- Ability to think critically, take initiative and solve problems
- Strong communication skills when working with cross-functional teams and suppliers
- Efficient and energetic in the undertaking of tasks
