As part of our ongoing commitment to increasing First Nations employment and creating meaningful pathways into the investment industry, we are inviting expressions of interest from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students for an Undergraduate Analyst opportunity within our Liquid Markets Group (LMG).
About the Team
Our Liquid Markets Group manages investments across liquid asset classes, including fixed income, credit and trading strategies. The team works across portfolio management, research, trading and quantitative development, using market insights and data to deliver strong investment outcomes.
About the Role
As an Undergraduate Analyst, you will gain exposure to a range of investment activities within a high-performing team. Your experience can be tailored to your interests, and may include:
- Supporting portfolio management and investment decision-making
- Assisting with trade idea generation and market research
- Conducting credit, quantitative and macroeconomic analysis
- Working with trading teams on execution and data analysis
- Contributing to development and integration work, including data science and coding projects
You'll also gain exposure to industry tools and platforms such as Bloomberg, portfolio management and risk systems, and may work with programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python) and emerging AI tools.
About You
We're open to students from a range of academic backgrounds, including:
- Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business
- Data Science or related disciplines (with an interest in financial markets)
You'll be someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in financial markets and investment management
- Is curious, motivated and keen to learn
- Brings strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Has an interest in data, programming or AI tools (desirable, not essential)
Previous industry experience is not required.
