What you'll be doing
As an Administration Officer Level 2 (Ward Clerk), you will provide high-quality administrative and customer service support to nursing, medical and allied health teams. You will be a key point of contact for patients, families, visitors and staff, helping ensure the efficient operation of the ward while maintaining accurate patient information and records.

Provide professional reception, administrative and customer service support within the ward environment

Assist patients, visitors and staff by responding to enquiries in a prompt, courteous and compassionate manner

Maintain accurate patient records and data entry across multiple hospital systems and databases

Coordinate documentation, patient files, ward resources and the collection and delivery of essential items

Support patient flow and daily ward operations through effective organisation, communication and problem-solving skills

Selection Criteria:

1. Effective communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.

2. Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

3. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

4. Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.

5. Proven experience dealing with patients/Clients and their families/carers.
