The Role & Location

We are currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse to join our Primary Care services at the Sydney Police Cells and MRRC.

To be eligible to apply, you must have:

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • At least one full year of experience working as a Registered Nurse.

The Registered Nurse performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody whilst assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing management.

The Sydney Police Cells are centrally located in Surry Hills, on Goulburn Street, within close proximity to public transport. The cells serve as temporary holding facilities for arrested individuals, processing and court appearances. The Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC) is located within the Silverwater Correctional Complex and is the largest maximum security male correctional facility in Australia. MRRC serves as the primary intake, assessment and transit hub for the NSW prison system.
