Are you an experienced Anaesthetic/Scrub/Scout Nurse looking for the opportunity to strengthen your skillset across all perioperative disciplines in a supportive learning environment? The Peri-Operative Services at Bowral and District Hospital are seeking dedicated, hardworking and experienced perioperative Registered Nurses to join our vibrant team. Permanent Part-time & Casual positions are available.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is flexible and dynamic in their skills and who has previous scrub, scout or anaesthetic theatre experience. Your attention to detail and drive for excellence is evident in all areas of your work as you share your perioperative nursing skills with our team, and take on the challenge of learning new skills that you may not yet have and furthering your own professional growth.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a perioperative setting, with the ability to provide safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive care across scrub, scout, anaesthetics, or recovery nursing.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-centred care, while maintaining professionalism and contributing positively to team culture.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to apply evidence-based practice to deliver safe and effective perioperative nursing care.

Demonstrated understanding of, and participation in risk management, work health and safety, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and workplace safety.
