Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Supervisor to support the delivery of high-quality facilities services across a diverse Melbourne portfolio within a highly engaged and collaborative client environment.
Working as part of a small BGIS on-site team and closely embedded within the broader client environment, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, strong contractor performance, and consistent service delivery across multiple sites.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this role requires someone who is calm under pressure, confident in decision-making, and skilled at managing competing priorities in fast-moving environments.
This is a highly client-facing role where relationship building, communication, and adaptability are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain CMMS systems, ensuring accurate tracking of reactive and preventative maintenance
- Allocate and coordinate work orders to meet KPI and contract requirements
- Act as first point of contact for building systems (including BMS interface) and operational issues
- Oversee subcontractor performance, compliance, documentation, and access requirements
- Support contract compliance, reporting, invoicing review, and financial processes
- Conduct site inspections and monitor maintenance standards across plant and equipment
- Liaise closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
- Support on-call and after-hours coordination as required
- Ensure strict adherence to OH&S, quality, and environmental standards
- Assist with reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential
- Experience in facilities management, building services, or property operations
- Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance coordination
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage contractors and multiple priorities across sites
- Strong problem-solving skills with a calm, practical approach under pressure
- Understanding of OH&S, compliance, and operational risk management
- Australian Citizenship (required for NV1 clearance eligibility)
- Demonstrates curiosity, initiative, and a passion for helping customers achieve the best outcomes.
Desirable
- Experience in high-security, complex, or regulated environments
- Trade background or facilities-related qualification
- Exposure to contract management and service delivery frameworks
- Experience working within integrated service environments
