About us

The NSW Police Force (NSWPF) is one of the largest police forces in the western world, with more than 20,000 employees, including more than 4,000 administrative employees who support the sworn officers that provide a range of law and order services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the socially, geographically and culturally diverse community of NSW.

About the role

We have an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to be part of our Project Management Office, Technology & Communication Services Command. The Project Coordinator performs project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects in line with established objectives.

As a Project Coordinator within the NSW Police Force's Project Management Office, you'll step into a role at the centre of major organisational initiatives. Your primary focus will be coordinating resourcing and recruitment across large, high-visibility projects, ensuring each one is supported by the right capability at the right time. Working closely with HR partners and project leads, you'll manage documentation, track recruitment progress, and help align staffing decisions with project milestones. Much of your contribution happens behind the scenes, enabling smooth operations and keeping complex programs moving with clarity and consistency.

This role thrives on structure, communication, and collaborative problem-solving. You'll operate at the intersection of planning and execution, helping translate strategic workforce needs into practical, well-organised action. With a strong emphasis on governance, compliance, and disciplined process management, the environment is fast-paced and highly structured, ideal for someone who excels at coordination, precision, and maintaining steady momentum across multiple priorities. If you're someone who anticipates needs early, stays composed under pressure, and keeps large-scale project workflows confidently on track, this position offers the opportunity to support meaningful outcomes across significant organisational programs.
