The opportunity for you
Based in our headquarters Sydney, this Senior Business Analyst role will support TaxIntell, our leading digital tax reporting platform in the Australian financial services market. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business and technology teams, delivering innovative solutions for custodians, tax advisers, investment trusts, and superannuation funds. You will also shape the future direction of AI capabilities within the broader team by applying emerging AI technology and prompt engineering to explore options and improve design quality across processes and documentation.
What u will do
Professionally engage with clients (internal and external) to identify and accurately document business objectives and requirements.
Write BA deliverables and ensure requirements map back to business objectives. This covers the entire project lifecycle, from discovery through to the client's acceptance into production.
Collaborate with the Project or Scrum team (Developer, Tester, Implementation, Documentation and Training) to ensure accurate mapping to business requirements. Ensure test coverage, implementation, documentation, including release notes and training requirements, are met.
Provide client support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria.
Write business design specifications that clearly document the desired outcomes of development, including client integration and NFR considerations. Deliver designs on schedule, within time budget, and secure approval from internal Product Boards and the client/s.
Assist the Product Owner to plan the overall release strategy, ensuring delivery of MVP and the broader roadmap within agreed timeframes.
Prepare materials and provide training and ongoing support to end-users following implementation.
Conduct demonstrations of completed enhancements internally and for sponsoring clients

As an experienced Senior Business Analyst, you'll confidently influence outcomes for our clients while collaborating closely with our internal teams across Australia and Vietnam. Given the nature of our product, you'll have experience working with investment trust clients, wealth management, or superannuation industries. Ideally, you will have experience applying AI methodologies in your current workflows. Other key experience and attributes include:
Tertiary qualifications and/or at least 5 years of experience in the IT or Finance industry as a Business Analyst
Detailed knowledge of Superannuation or UK Pension and Wrap systems, with experience participating in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely ideas, solutions, and problems
Strong logical and analytical problem investigation and resolution skills
Experience using Jira and Confluence, with the ability to work in both Waterfall and Agile environments
