Purpose of the Role

BGIS is seeking an experienced HSEQ Audit & Reporting Lead to join our internal HSEQ Team, supporting our Australia and New Zealand operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for an audit and assurance professional who enjoys building relationships, working collaboratively across the business, and contributing to meaningful improvements. Reporting to the HSEQ team, you'll coordinate the planning and delivery of BGIS' HSEQ audit and assurance program, helping maintain certification and compliance across our Integrated Management System.

You'll partner with stakeholders across the organisation, providing practical guidance, coordinating audits, and identifying opportunities to strengthen our systems and processes.

We're looking for someone who is organised, approachable, curious, and comfortable engaging with a broad range of people and perspectives while maintaining a practical, solutions-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the annual HSEQ internal audit and assurance program across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external certification and surveillance audits.
  • Prepare clear, practical audit reports and executive summaries.
  • Monitor audit findings, corrective actions and close-out activities.
  • Support ongoing compliance with ISO management system requirements.
  • Maintain HSEQ management system documentation and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Build positive working relationships across the business and provide audit and compliance guidance.
  • Contribute to HSEQ improvement initiatives and assurance projects.
  • Support business continuity and compliance activities where required.

Education, Experience & Skills

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
  • Qualified Lead Auditor in WHS management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering management system audits.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience preparing high-quality documentation and managing corrective action processes.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management.
  • Experience within facilities management or multi-site operational environments.
  • Familiarity with ISO 55000 Asset Management principles.
  • Experience working across complex compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exposure to Australian Government or certification body requirements.

This position is based in our Sydney CBD office at World Square, conveniently located close to public transport. The role is designed as an on-site, collaborative position, enabling strong engagement with internal stakeholders and the broader HSEQ team.
