Job Description We are exclusively partnering with a leading national healthcare provider that delivers trusted support across aged care, disability services (NDIS), and nursing. Dedicated to a vision where health and wellbeing support leaves no one behind, this organisation is currently undergoing a significant and exciting transformation. Their culture is built on genuine collaboration and a roll-up-your-sleeves ethos, underpinned by a deep commitment to compassion, integrity, and innovation. With a deliberate shift toward a proactive safety culture underway, the business is seeking a driven professional to join its People & Culture team as a Recovery & Return-to-Work Specialist. This is not a "maintenance" role; it is a newly created senior position where you will be the primary subject-matter expert tasked with moving the organisation away from reactive processes toward a sophisticated, intervention-first model. Reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, you will have a wide scope to establish your own frameworks, with high visibility and the opportunity to act as a strategic partner to operational leaders and the Executive team. Key Responsibilities Strategic Claims Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of work-related and non-work-related claims, utilising your commercial acumen within an LPR insurance model to drive early intervention and durable return-to-work outcomes. Preventative Leadership: Act as an architect for safety by designing and leading organisation-wide injury prevention campaigns and training programs from the ground up, specifically targeting manual handling and back injuries. System Optimisation: Leverage advanced safety management systems to generate high-level data, identify trends, and provide commentary for Board-level reporting. Stakeholder Engagement: Undertake occasional site travel to drive capability development and embed a proactive safety culture across the workforce. About You You are a qualified RTW specialist with proven expertise in end-to-end workers' compensation claims management. You are a balanced communicator who possesses the essential "softer skills" to navigate sensitive recovery conversations, coupled with the commercial drive to achieve business outcomes. You are highly tech-savvy and comfortable taking a data-driven approach to reporting and system optimisation. You are eager to make your mark in a business that values high integrity, accountability, and a good sense of humour. What's on Offer A true opportunity to build out a function and shape the future of safety in a growing, digital-enabled business. Hybrid flexibility based in the Inner West of Sydney (4 days in the office per week, with 5 days preferred during the initial 6-week onboarding period). Highly accessible office location just a 2-minute walk from the train station, with $10/day onsite parking available.
