Step into a pivotal role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) - Palliative Care / End of Life Care, and help shape the future of compassionate care in the Southern Highlands. This is an exciting moment to join our team as we expand to a 7dayaweek service, strengthening our ability to be there for patients and families whenever they need us most.In this role, you'll provide expert clinical leadership and holistic support to individuals navigating palliative and endoflife journeys, ensuring dignity, comfort, and unwavering advocacy at every stage. You'll work closely with families, multidisciplinary teams, and community partners to deliver care that is deeply personcentred and grounded in empathy.

Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). 3 years relevant full-time equivalent post registration experience and approved post graduate nursing qualifications in a field relevant to the specialty field, or such qualifications, or experience deemed appropriate by the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidenced based nursing care.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
