About the role

  • Xavier 7 South has a diverse mix of specialties which primarily include Gastroenterology, Renal, Nephrology, Immunology, Infectious diseases, Drug & Alcohol, Clinical Pharmacology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology & Dermatology.
  • Provide evidence-based nursing care to patients of all ages and cultural groups, including individuals, families and communities.
  • Asses, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team.
  • Coordination of nursing and health care ensuring independent and interdependent practice, assuming accountability, responsibility and delegation of care.
  • One additional day off accrued per month

About you

  • Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an acute hospital environment, with previous medical experience highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis.
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work within the interdisciplinary team.
