Salary Range: $189,878 per annum - $207,381 per annum + Super and Benefits (Health Mgr Lvl 6)

NSW Ambulance is seeking an accomplished and visionary leader to join our agency as Director, Information and Digital Services.
About the opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to lead the strategic direction, delivery and performance of information, communication and digital technology services for one of the largest and most complex emergency service organisations in Australia.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Corporate Services, you will oversee a diverse portfolio spanning enterprise ICT, Triple Zero and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, cyber security, digital services, infrastructure, telecommunications, radio networks, governance, project delivery and vendor management. Your leadership will directly support frontline clinicians, emergency response operations and critical patient care across New South Wales.
As Director, Information and Digital Services, you will shape and deliver NSW Ambulance's digital strategy while ensuring technology services remain secure, reliable, scalable and responsive to operational and clinical needs.
Working closely with executive leaders and key partners including eHealth NSW, HealthShare NSW, NSW Telco Authority, the Ministry of Health and other statewide agencies, you will champion innovative digital solutions that enhance service delivery and support whole-of-health digital transformation objectives.

About you
You are a strategic and influential executive with a proven track record leading large-scale ICT environments in complex service delivery organisations.
You bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Engineering, Science, Management, Leadership or a related discipline, and/or extensive senior leadership experience.
- Significant experience developing and implementing enterprise ICT strategies and operating models.
- Strong expertise across information technology, telecommunications, digital transformation, infrastructure, cybersecurity and service management.
- Demonstrated success delivering large and complex technology programs and portfolios within budget and governance frameworks.
- Experience managing strategic vendor relationships, procurement processes and commercial arrangements.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence executive leaders, government agencies and external partners.
- Strong people leadership capability, including building high-performing teams, developing talent and fostering positive workplace cultures.

Excellent communication, negotiation and strategic advisory skills.

Conditions

- No NSW Ambulance accommodation is provided.
- Employees currently undertaking an Extended Care Paramedic or Intensive Care Paramedic consolidation periods are eligible to apply however will need to complete all training and return of service obligations before accepting any relief/acting opportunities.
- Employees currently undertaking a Special Operations Team (SOT) consolidation period are not eligible to apply for positions other than SOT positions. This includes positions offered via merit selection, transfer lists or later transfer mechanism, expressions of interest or secondments.
