What you'll be doing
As an Administration Officer, you will provide professional and efficient administrative support across the Blacktown Cancer and Haematology Centre. Rotating through various areas of the service, you will support clinical teams, coordinate administrative processes and help ensure patients receive timely and seamless care.

Deliver high quality administrative support to meet service objectives and key performance indicators
Manage patient records, documentation and data entry while maintaining confidentiality and privacy standards
Support multidisciplinary teams, clinics, infusion services and radiation oncology functions
Prepare reports, correspondence and administrative documentation accurately and efficiently
Prioritise competing tasks, solve problems proactively and contribute to effective team operations

  1. Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment in a patient focused area with previous experience working with oncology patients and/or in a hospital setting

  2. Demonstrated advanced level computer skills including all aspects of MS Office, clinical databases and MS Outlook

  3. Demonstrated excellent attention to detail, in particular data entry processes

  4. Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with senior clinicians and external staff effectively

  5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and within required KPI's

  6. Experience with medical terminology, and preferred experience with iPims and other hospital patient based programs

  7. Excellence in personal work ethics in the daily performance of administrative duties
