About the Opportunity
The primary purpose of the Grants Officer role is to support, coordinate, execute, and implement the operations, monitoring and evaluation of the Cancer Institute grants schemes and to facilitate effective delivery of programs and projects in line with Divisional and Institute objectives


Essential Requirements

  • Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualification in an appropriate discipline such as health, public health or health promotion or equivalent and relevant professional experience and training.
  • An understanding of the NSW and or federal health system including a knowledge of relevant trends, issues, policies and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and the application of project management principles and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver and meet project objectives and requirements.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and attention to detail.
  • Relevant professional experience in grants management including contract management and financial acquittals.


Pre-Screening Questions

  1. Please describe your experience in grants administration, including your role in monitoring milestones, budget and financial management.
  2. Please describe your skills and experience with quantitative data analysis, including your proficiency with Microsoft Excel. How do you ensure your analysis is accurate and well organised, to ensure data outputs are defensible and interpretable by others?
