About the role


Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking an experienced and innovative Nurse Manager (Grade 3) to lead the implementation of the Our Practice in Action: Fundamentals of Care and Enhanced Care Plus initiative across inpatient services.

The Project Manager will collaborate closely with NNSWLHD Nursing and Midwifery Services to plan, communicate, implement, and evaluate key initiatives funded through the Nurse Strategy Reserve Funding (NSRF). Responsible for ensuring the delivery of initiatives that demonstrate innovation, safety, quality, staff engagement, and a strong focus on family-centred care.

This 18month fulltime opportunity will suit a dynamic nursing leader with strong project management, clinical leadership and change management expertise. The role will drive the standardisation and embedding of the Fundamentals of Care (OURNAMS) framework and the expansion of Enhanced Care Plus to support older patients.

Working closely with Nursing and Midwifery Executive, Nursing Unit Managers and multidisciplinary teams, the successful applicant will lead capability development, strengthen practice reliability, and use data-driven insights to improve patient outcomes, staff wellbeing and care consistency.
